Pitt Research Social Network

Pitt’s research social network is a graphic representation of the strong ties between researchers from different schools to produce high-impact, multidisciplinary research.

Nodes (circles) represent principal investigators (PIs) or co-principal investigators (co-PIs) in proposals submitted.

Each color represents a school or group of schools. A circle with a solid color represents an individual who is a PI in a grant proposal. A circle where only the border has the school color represents an individual who is a co-PI in a proposal. There is a link between two nodes (circles) if they are PI and co-PI in the same research proposal.
